Bluey's World: Brisbane's Beloved Animated Family Comes to Life in Hamilton

Hamilton, Brisbane · February 1, 2025

A story about Bluey's World

The global phenomenon that is Bluey has come full circle with the opening of Bluey's World, an immersive 4,000-square-metre experience in Hamilton that allows fans of all ages to step inside the beloved animated series. For a show so intrinsically tied to Brisbane—from its Queenslander-inspired home designs to its unmistakable South East Queensland settings—there's no more fitting location for this groundbreaking attraction.

Open since November 2024 and running through March 2026, Bluey's World offers visitors the chance to explore life-sized recreations of the Heeler family's home and surroundings. The famous living room, playroom, kitchen, and backyard—complete with the iconic poinciana tree—have been faithfully recreated in stunning detail.

But this isn't just a walk-through exhibition. Interactive games beloved by fans of the show, including Keepy Uppy and Magic Xylophone, are woven throughout the experience. The soundscape perfectly captures the show's warm atmosphere, while an indoor playground inspired by Bluey's Brisbane neighbourhood provides additional entertainment for younger visitors.

The attraction, produced by BBC Studios and HVK Productions with support from the Queensland Government and Brisbane City Council, is exclusive to Brisbane—making it a must-visit destination for the show's devoted fans from around Australia and the world. In true Brisbane style, visitors can even arrive via CityCat, just as the characters might.

Visitors should plan to spend approximately 70 minutes bounding through the experience, with a cafe offering spring rolls and pizza, plus a gift shop for those wanting to take a piece of the Heeler home with them. Birthday party packages are also available for those wanting to celebrate in style.

Bluey's World represents a significant tourism win for Brisbane, celebrating a home-grown creative success story while welcoming fans to experience the magic in person.
