Clock-Out Lounge and Stevie's Famous Pizza Create Family-Friendly Magic in Beacon Hill

Beacon Hill, Seattle · February 1, 2025

A story about Clock-Out Lounge / Stevie's Famous

A beer-stained music venue doesn't typically scream 'bring the kids,' but something magical is happening at the Clock-Out Lounge in Beacon Hill. Since 2024, when buzzy New York-style pizzeria Stevie's Famous opened its second location inside the venue, young families have been flocking here for early dinners before the music starts.

The partnership solved a problem for Seattle pizza lovers: previously, experiencing Stevie's Famous foldable slices required a trek to Burien. Now, Beacon Hill residents have access to some of the city's best New York-style pizza right in their neighborhood—and they're bringing their children.

The Clock-Out Lounge has embraced its unexpected role as a family dining destination. High chairs dot the bare-bones interior alongside tables and booths. Parents can knock back local microbrews (which are $2 off during weekday happy hour from 4-6 p.m.) while kids devour cheesy slices.

The menu delivers serious pizza credentials. The Normie MacDonald, featuring burrata, fresh honey, and sausage, offers a meaty, creamy, spicy marvel that has earned devoted fans. For picky young eaters, the White 2.0—loaded with five kinds of cheese including whipped ricotta on top—provides a crowd-pleasing alternative to the standard cheese pizza.

The arrangement works because it respects both audiences. Before 8 p.m., the venue operates as an all-ages space where families can enjoy quality time over quality pizza. After 8 p.m., the Clock-Out Lounge transforms back into an adults-only music venue—but by then, most parents are headed home for bedtime anyway.

It's an unlikely success story that speaks to Seattle's evolving neighborhoods. Beacon Hill has gained a genuine community gathering spot where live music culture and family dining coexist harmoniously. The pizza just happens to be exceptional.

'When you have pizza and beer, what else do you really need?' seems to be the guiding philosophy. For Beacon Hill families, the answer is: not much.
